Announcement to Students and Families Financially Impacted by the Partial Government Shutdown

While we welcome today's news that the U.S. federal government has been re-opened until February 15, 2019, Columbia University understands this remains a highly stressful time for those students or families who are experiencing financial challenges due to being unpaid or furloughed federal employees.
Students who find themselves in this situation, and have questions about how to reduce their or their family’s financial stress, are encouraged to do the following:
- For concerns about financial aid, contact your school’s financial aid office.
- For concerns about billing and payments, contact the Student Service Center at email@example.com. You can also find information about payment plans on the Student Financial Services website.
